Pharmaceutical care is an indispensable asset that we must protect. However, quality and accessibility are at risk. That is why we are taking the lead. We connect all of the disciplines within pharmacy and give them the value they deserve.

The OCTA Pharmacy Group was founded in 2023, but the foundations of our mission were laid back in 2008. Since then, we have been working relentlessly to find solutions to the challenges in pharmaceutical care. Today, our teams in pharmacies and distribution centres are determined to make the required transition.

1. Pharmaceutical InfrastructureWe are a key player in the Netherlands' pharmaceutical infrastructure, from purchasing and distribution to community pharmacies, institutional pharmacies and clinic pharmacies.

2. ControlOur scale gives us more control over the purchasing and availability of medicines, making us as pharmacists better able to practise our profession.

3. Decentralised OrganisationOur organisation is decentralised into regional clusters, accounting for local entrepreneurship and differences between regions. Pharmacists and assistants have a high degree of autonomy in order to be able to focus on what really matters: providing the best pharmaceutical care.

4. AmbitionAt OCTA, employees are given room to develop. Their growth propels not only their own success, but also the growth of OCTA and the pharmaceutical care system. Our shared ambition.

As caregivers, we hold the key to the transition in healthcare, in which IT solutions are becoming increasingly important to maximise their potential.

At OCTA, we are looking for committed employees who want to make a contribution to the transition in pharmaceutical care.

I opted to sell my pharmacies to the OCTA group because they cared about what I wanted. That means I can remain actively involved in what I have built up over 25 years.

Taco van WitsenPharmacist at public pharmacies De Schinkel, Stadion and Dr. de Haan

One of our biggest challenges is staff shortages. By working together in a larger group, we can now be more responsive in that regard.

Aniek JoosenPharmacist at public pharmacy Ganzenhoef

In the institutional pharmacies, we work for the most vulnerable people in our society. Since the formation of the OCTA Pharmacy Group, the reliability of medicine supply has significantly improved.

Roy ThePharmacist at institutional pharmacy Verpakapotheek

After working in a pharmacy for almost 15 years I was ready for something new. Thanks to OCTA I have been given the chance to combine my job at the pharmacy with administrative work closer to home.
