Pharmacist-practitioner (trainee) in Bergen op Zoom

Bergen op ZoomFull time

Who are we?

We are based in medical centres, where we work closely with other disciplines, such as GPs, physiotherapists, podiatrists and exercise therapists. This approach works.

As well as being a Service Apotheek, our pharmacies are part of the OCTA Farmacie Group. This combination ensures stability, quality and innovation. It enables us to continue providing the care we want to deliver and to strengthen primary care in a sustainable way. For more information, visit our website at www.octa.nl.

OCTA is a growing healthcare organisation with pharmacies throughout the Netherlands. We believe in modern care, smart processes and a working environment where people can enjoy their work. Our pharmacies work together in clusters, with short lines of communication and plenty of mutual support.

At head office, teams such as HR, Finance, IT, Facilities and Communications ensure that our colleagues in the pharmacies can focus on what really matters: providing good care for our patients.

We are down-to-earth, people-focused and committed to quality. We innovate step by step, streamline processes and invest in the development of our people. Because good care starts with colleagues who feel good about themselves, with room to grow, learn and contribute ideas.

Your role

Are you currently working as a community pharmacist and looking for a fresh working environment with great colleagues, modern processes and scope for personal development? And would you like to start training to become a prescribing pharmacist? Then this is a great opportunity.

What will you be doing?

You’ll primarily be working at our pharmacies in Bergen op Zoom. You’ll work closely with the team of pharmacists in West Brabant & Zeeland. Within this team, colleagues cover for one another, both digitally and on-site. This gives you a stable base with plenty of variety and rotation.

Thanks to our modern processes, we are increasingly able to avoid ‘unnecessary’ manual or duplicated tasks. Many administrative and logistical processes are organised centrally. This means more time to focus on the core aspects of the profession and on collaboration within the team.

What do you bring to the role?

We are looking for a community pharmacist who wishes to develop into a pharmacist-practitioner and who can start this training programme in 2026. We want to further expand this model within our pharmacies and in collaboration with GP practices in the region. The project plan for this is currently being developed.

In Bergen op Zoom, one of our colleagues has already successfully completed this training programme. As a result, we know it works, and we’d like to expand this approach further. Good communication skills in Dutch are a given. Are you not yet a community pharmacist, but are you a pharmacist and would you like to become one? Then please do apply. We can provide the training to become a community pharmacist within our organisation. After that, you may be able to progress to the programme to become a pharmacist-practitioner.

What do we offer?

  • Terms of employment in accordance with the Pharmacists’ Collective Labour Agreement
  • A good monthly salary
  • Holiday pay
  • 25 days’ holiday
  • Pension scheme via SPOA
  • A modern and pleasant workplace
  • We close for lunch, so we have time to eat and catch up!
