What will you be doing?

For a strategic development project, we are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer who will be primarily responsible for one specific system or product. In this role, the candidate will combine strong technical execution with ownership of the product and direct coordination with business stakeholders.

The developer will operate within a broader engineering structure in which a Tech Lead is responsible for the overarching technical vision and coaching of developers. Within the assigned product team, however, this Senior Developer will take the lead in day-to-day management and setting the technical direction.


Team structure

  • Overarching: Tech Lead (architecture, coaching, standards)
  • Product team:
    Senior Full-Stack Developer (this role)
    2 mid-level/junior developers (already in place)


What do you bring to the table?

  • Senior level (extensive experience as a full-stack developer)
  • Strong backend focus with Python, but also proficient in frontend development
  • Experience with modern web architectures and API design
  • Experience leading your own domain or product
  • Comfortable in a setting with a clear separation between the Tech Lead role and product responsibility
  • Strong communication skills and business-minded
  • Experience with stakeholder management and internal client communication
  • Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written, is required.


Nice to have

  • Experience with AI / prompting (e.g. working with LLMs or AI integrations)


Key responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of one specific system/product
  • Leading day-to-day development activities within this domain
  • Managing and mentoring mid-level and junior developers working on the product
  • Translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Actively communicating with internal clients and stakeholders
  • Taking responsibility for the product backlog and prioritisation (in consultation with the business)
  • Ensuring code quality, architecture and best practices (in line with Tech Lead guidelines)

  • Backend: Python
    Frameworks/libraries: FastAPI, Celery, SQLAlchemy (ORM)
  • Database: PostgreSQL
  • Frontend: Vue.js
    Libraries: Vuetify, Vuex (state management)
