Pharmacy Assistant Apotheek De Castro
A great opportunity for an (experienced) pharmacy assistant
At Service Apotheek De Castro, we focus primarily on people’s qualities and development, rather than on experience. This means that both an experienced assistant and an assistant who wishes to receive further training and guidance can become our new colleague.
What we offer
Service Apotheek De Castro offers a challenging and dynamic role, with varied tasks and friendly colleagues. Right in the heart of Amsterdam city centre and located within the University of Amsterdam (UvA) premises.
We have an active professional development policy and the opportunity to progress in your chosen areas of interest. The terms of employment are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Pharmacies (CAO Apotheken). This means a good monthly salary, holiday pay, a 36-hour working week, 25 days’ annual leave and a pension scheme with the PMA.
Working conditions at Service Apotheek Jordaan are excellent. We work 8.5 hours a day in the pharmacy, which is why we offer a contract for a minimum of 25.5 and a maximum of 34 hours, spread over 3 or 4 days a week. (The pharmacy is closed daily during the lunch break from 12.30 pm to 1.15 pm)
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an eager-to-learn pharmacy assistant for 25.5–34 hours per week. You hold an MBO qualification as a pharmacy assistant. Your work at Service Apotheek De Castro will involve advising customers on the dispensing of medicines and over-the-counter products, handling medication monitoring alerts/MFBs, carrying out tasks for the Baxter and repeat prescription service, and keeping track of and monitoring stock levels. Knowledge of Mira (digital prescriptions) is an advantage.
Who are we?
Service Apotheek De Castro is a fresh, growing, modern pharmacy with an informal atmosphere. At our premises at Roetersstraat 19 in Amsterdam, there’s always a lively atmosphere with a constant flow of students, and we work closely with other disciplines, such as GPs and specialists.
We have a strong team made up of enthusiastic pharmacists, pharmacy assistants and BBL trainees. The team is large enough for staff to specialise in certain areas of the profession and small enough to feel like a real team. We help and support one another.
We have several branches in the centre of Amsterdam, and our staff rotate between these pharmacies as needed. This ensures plenty of variety, and you’ll never be left to manage things on your own during holidays. We also organise joint activities with these pharmacies.
As well as being a Serviceapotheek, we are part of the OCTA Farmacie Group. This combination ensures stability, quality and innovation. It enables us to continue providing the care we want to offer our patients and to strengthen primary care in a sustainable way. We have one or more dispensing machines in every pharmacy.
